WP6. Outreach & exploitation

(Leader: UOULU, Partners: All partners)

Objectives

AgriAs will disseminate the results of the project toward stakeholders and authorities for the application of the methods and techniques developed during AgriAs in other regions of Europe. Exploitation aspects will be analyzed and exploitation strategy will be set-up to support the potential commercial and non-commercial exploitation of the project results.

Approach

Task 6.1. Development of impact strategy (Communication, Dissemination, Exploitation)

This task represents the development of dissemination, communication and exploitation strategy – the impact strategy – and shows how the consortium intends to ensure sustainability of project impact, awareness and dialogue among the stakeholders and facilitate valorisation of knowledge.

The first task delivers dissemination and exploitation concepts and guidelines to ensure that the impact of the AgriAs will be maximized by reaching the addressed stakeholders and target groups.

Task 6.2 Targeted dissemination, communication and exploitation actions

Dissemination activities will be carried out using a number of different dissemination tools depending on the audiences:

i) General public: Info material will be produced in order to disseminate the information on the challenge of tackling the As contamination problem in water and soil. Open days and visits to the demonstration sites will be organized explaining the implemented technologies and solutions.
ii) Research and innovation community: Dissemination of the scientific data and results obtained during the project by attending scientific workshops and conferences and by publishing original scientific papers.
iii) Agricultural business and Industry: Raise awareness on As management especially amongst farmers. The engagement of the Advisory Board will serve as a link for a wide dissemination of the results, technology and methodologies applied in the project.
iv) Policy makers: AgriAs partners will approach regional, national and European authorities and policy makers to communicate the political, environmental and economic benefits of the As contamination management, especially in agriculture.

Task 6.3 Business plan for the exploitation of the technological innovation

Opportunities for exporting innovations to Europe and contribute to global market development will be assessed. A dedicated Exploitation Manager has been appointed to support the Consortium in the developing of the strategy for exploitation of new results created.

Task 6.4 Layman’s report

This report will be targeted at a non-specialist audience and serves to inform decision makers and non-technical parties of the project objectives and results.
