About the project - Added value for science and technology

In general, and especially within the activities in the EIT Raw Materials scope, it is increasingly important to be able to characterize primary and secondary raw materials precisely, as these analyses reveal factors that have a remarkable effect of the further sustainable processing of the materials.

Equally important is to search for new cutting-edge material replacements, for e.g. future sustainable energy technologies. The RAMI equipment is designed to strengthen the core expertise of the host organizations to address all these challenges. The equipment includes:

1. X-ray computed microtomography GTK
2. Particle characterization unit
3. High Enthalpy Plasma solution equipment VTT examples:
4. Particle track analysis for measuring crystallization and precipitation processes from solutions example
