WDMAM is an international, scientific joint effort to compile and make available magnetic anomalies

• caused by the Earth's uppermost lithosphere
• measured on continental and oceanic areas
• referred to satellite measurements and geomagnetic observatories
• in a comprehensive way
• all over the world

First results of this activity are:

• a printed magnetic anomaly map of the World 1:50 000 000; WDMAM2007
• a digital map image file of the printed map
• a dataset of digital magnetic anomalies that includes a numerical 3 minutes resolution global grid
• all released for public use July 3 2007
