World Digital Magnetic Anomaly Map (WDMAM)
WDMAM is an international, scientific joint effort to compile and make available magnetic anomalies
- caused by the Earth's uppermost lithosphere
- measured on continental and oceanic areas
- referred to satellite measurements and geomagnetic observatories
- in a comprehensive way
- all over the world
First results of this activity are:
- a printed magnetic anomaly map of the World 1:50 000 000; WDMAM2007
- a digital map image file of the printed map
- a dataset of digital magnetic anomalies that includes a numerical 3 minutes resolution
global grid
- all released for public use July 3 2007
