The 7th IASSC was held in Vaasa, Finland during the last week of August 2012, incl.:

  • a pre-conference tour to the Kvarken Archipelago World Heritage Site
  • welcome reception hosted by the city of Vaasa
  • three days with oral sessions, including a half-day public session, and poster sessions
  • a mid-conference tour to the Söderfjärden impact crater filled with cultivated Acid Sulfate Soil and test fields and the Risöfladan test field 
  • conference dinner at restaurant Strampen
  • two post-conference one-day excursions along the coast (NE) and inland (SE) from Vaasa

We had 112 participants from 10 countries: Finland 76, Sweden 14, Australia 12, USA 2, Nigeria 2, Malaysia 1, Thailand 1, Poland 1, Czech Republic 1, the Netherlands 1, China 1, and 8 accompanying persons.
