The Finnish minerals sector

The Finnish minerals sector covers a diverse range of activities, including the mining of metallic ores and industrial minerals, as well as other industries that extract and process aggregates and natural stones. The minerals sector is also considered to include industries that produce and supply machinery, equipment, technology and services for mining operations. In addition the minerals sector is supported by various institutions including research organizations and agencies, universities and technical and trade schools.
